After 18-months of hibernation Hampshire Scout eXpeditions (HSX) is back with a bang!
We are developing an action-packed programme to see in the new Scouting year. Out first event of the year will be our annual HSX Adventure Race held at Ferny Crofts, Hampshire on Saturday 2nd October 2021.
The Adventure Race is a team orienteering challenge held in the countryside around Ferny Crofts, with teams of young people will be given 3 hours to reach as many check points as possible, before returning to the Race HQ before the time is up! As normal there will be categories for Explorers, Network and Veterans.
A Race Brief will be held just after 09:30 with the course officially opening at 10:00. Lunch and hot drinks will be provided after the event and we will be handing out medals and prizes for the winning teams.
An invite to the Adventure Race is extended to all Explorer Scout groups across the county, with the aim to introduce them to HSX and excite them for our upcoming events, including a weekend in the Brecon Beacons at the end of October. We will be setting up the HSX promotional boards and it would be great to get as many young people along as possible! The event will focus on engaging with young people from across Hampshire and energising them about what is to come in the months and years ahead.
